## Workplace mental wellness for employees: common questions

**Q: Will my employer see my results?**

A: No. Your answers and scores are private to you. Your employer only receives anonymised, combined reporting, never anything that identifies you.

**Q: What does the screening check?**

A: Three short questionnaires: the PHQ-9 for low mood and depression, the GAD-7 for worry and anxiety, and the PSS-4 for how stressed you have felt over the last month.

**Q: What happens after I get my score?**

A: Each score comes with a clear next step, from simple self-care to speaking with a counsellor or mental health professional, whom a care navigator can connect you with privately.

**Q: Is burnout a real thing?**

A: Yes. The World Health Organization recognises burnout as an occupational phenomenon: exhaustion, feeling distant from your work and getting less done, caused by long-term workplace stress.

**Q: Signs you might need support**

A: Feeling exhausted most days, dreading work, trouble sleeping or switching off, irritability, low mood or worry that lasts more than two weeks.

**Q: What if I'm struggling right now?**

A: Any answer about self-harm brings up urgent support straight away. You can call Befrienders Kenya on +254 722 178 177 or the Kenya Red Cross toll-free line 1199, any time you need to talk.

**Q: My employer doesn't offer this. Can I still use it?**

A: Yes. Mental health screening costs KES 100 on its own, or is included in the Plus package (KES 500) with care navigation.
