## VIA/VILI test: common questions

**Q: What does the VIA/VILI test check for?**

A: Changes on the cervix that could become cancer.

**Q: Who should have it?**

A: Women aged 25 to 65 where HPV testing is not available; most Kenyan facilities offer it.

A: Vinegar (and iodine) is applied to the cervix and the clinician looks for colour changes; results are immediate.
